Project Overview

TooToon aims to reduce the high-intensity labor of webtoon artists through AI technologies such as synopsis creation and image generation, and to facilitate easier and faster personalized creation by outsourcing content production.

Through this project, I aimed to understand and incorporate the needs of TooToon users into the design, ultimately enabling users to easily incorporate TooToon into their existing creative flow.

User interviews were conducted to assess the current state and needs of TooToon.

Design Elements

TooToon's UI design emphasizes a bright and sophisticated tone by setting mint and purple as the key colors, and enhances visibility when generating text by setting the background to white. To ensure a consistent user experience across various languages and environments, a versatile font, Noto Sans, was used, which can also be utilized at international trade shows. Additionally, to display a large amount of content consistently, card elements were utilized to achieve visual organization and clear information delivery simultaneously. Throughout the design process, the focus was on creating an intuitive and easily accessible environment for creators.

UI Design

TooToon provides workspaces for collaboration and project management, allowing users to work in teams. Each project consists of Fabulator files for text-based content and Artifex files for image-based content, enabling systematic management and development of various creative works. This enables users to efficiently create and collaborate, seamlessly combining text and images in the creative process.

Fabulator(Text-Generation)

TooToon follows the webtoon planning document format used in the industry. When users enter the genre and keywords, a logline is automatically generated, which then leads to character descriptions and even character sheet images. The logline gradually evolves into a synopsis, treatment, and script, ultimately enabling the production of storyboards, thus systematically supporting the webtoon planning and production process.

Artifex(Image-Generation)

TooToon allows users to directly upload reference sketch images and creates corresponding images based on the scene descriptions provided. The generated images can be easily exported in outline PNG format for user-friendly editing. To facilitate image management, a list of all images is displayed on the right side of the screen, and the creation history of each image is shown at the bottom. This enables users to easily track the production process and changes, making image management effortless.
